German Shorthaired Pointer
The short-haired german pointer is an old hunting breed used mainly to hunt fowl. The breed has been further developed in Germany and various old german breeds were mixed in along with the pointer. The breed's early developer was prince Albrecht zu Solms-Braunfeld who put together a breed standard and trial rules in the form of a book in 1897.
